“Beyond HORIZOs – Framing the Future” – this motto guided us through an inspiring and dynamic Eusea Annual Conference 2017. In beautiful Leuven, Belgium, around 80 participants from all across Europe, Egypt, Korea and Russia attended the two-day meeting. Hosted by KU Leuven the programme offered more sessions and workshops than ever before. In a spirit of co-creation and openness to learn from each other, Eusea members and guests developed ideas on the future of Public Engagement in Europe. Keynotes from Ana Arana Antelo, head of the Science in Society programme at the European Commission, and from Ivvett Modinou, representing the British Science Association, highlighted the stategies and upcoming challenges for the Sicence Communication Community in Europe and beyond.
