In Biophilia, teachers, researchers, writers, innovators, artists, children and youth work together to create something new and cross-cutting. The Biophilia learning programme is based on a multimedia exploration of the relationships between music and science.
It is a pilot project and an interdisciplinary collaboration between Björk, the artist, the University of Iceland, and the City of Reykjavik.
It is an educational programme, challenging the traditional teaching by encouraging participation and using creativity as a method for learning and research. It aims to combine technology, science and creativity across schools, scientific fields, institutions and industry in new ways.
This is a workshop – in English – that gives a preview of the Biophilia philosophy. Participants bring their own iPads or laptops and work on one or two of the apps that have been produced in the project. Pre-registration is necessary – please register here
