The Shanghai Science Festival is looking for a keynote speaker for the Science Festival International Salon. Hosted by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, the Shanghai Science Festival will be held from May 20 to 27, 2017. The Science Festival International Salon on May 20 is a featured event of this festival. Focusing on the theme of “ Science Festival and Urban Development”, the Science Festival International Salon 2017 is inviting internationally renowned presidents and experts to exchange ideas and cooperatively plan the future development of science festivals.
The organizing committe of the Shanghai Science Festival is inviting two Eusea representatives to deliver keynotes and to participate in the Opening Ceremony of Shanghai Science Festival 2017 and the Science Festival International Salon at Shanghai Science & Technology Museum. The travel costs, accommodation and local transportation costs from May 19 to 22 will be covered by the Organizing Committee. As a representative of Eusea, Executive Director Annette Klinkert will deliver one of the keynotes. The second keynote is open to Eusea members with qualifications in Science Festivals related to their local environments.
If you are interested in joining this trip (all costs are covered by the hosts, including flights), please send us a short statement with the following information until May 2nd:

Name and position of the person who is interested to travel (please not that the keynote should be given by a representative of the leadership of the festival)
Qualification of this person in terms of “Science Festivals and Urban Development”

The Eusea Board will choose the best candidates and will let you know the decision until May 5.
