On January 15 2025, EUSEA was proudly represented at the #FactoryWisskomm International Layer Networking Event, a significant gathering of European science communication networks and initiatives.
Ken Skeldon, EUSEA President and Research Engagement Manager at the University of Glasgow, delivered an insightful presentation on EUSEA’s mission and activities. His contribution highlighted EUSEA’s pivotal role in fostering collaboration and innovation in science engagement across Europe.
In this meeting, he was joined by EUSEA Board member and treasurer Maria Hagardt and EUSEA Director Annette Klinkert, who emphasized EUSEA’s strong commitment to building synergies with like-minded organizations.
The event, moderated by Gian Casutt, featured key players in science communication, including EUPRIO, ECSITE, PCST, and initiatives like COALESCE and the Falling Walls Foundation. These presentations, followed by a dynamic discussion, underscored the importance of networking and cooperation in strengthening science communication across Europe.
Thank you to the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and #FactoryWisskomm for organizing this inspiring and collaborative event. It was a privilege to share EUSEA’s vision and engage with such a vibrant community of science communication professionals.
We’re looking forward to continuing to build bridges and advance science communication together!
