These events are easy to organise and require minimal resources (depending on how you wish to collate, read, and judge suggestions. This activity helps with the promotion of dialogue and cooperation between both external and internal collaborators.


As stated above, very little preparation is necessary to run an idea competition, just a means for people to share their ideas, a way to monitor suggestions, and a criterion for how to judge these ideas. It is important to stick to this judging criterion through the event, to ensure fairness. Before the event takes place, a suitable prized should be decided upon, the available prize should be announced before the event takes place.
