VA is a Swedish non-profit membership organisation that promotes dialogue and openness between researchers and the public. VA carries out studies and surveys, organises events and activities, disseminates knowledge and experience, and undertakes advocacy and development work.

We believe that greater communication and collaboration in research is needed to find sustainable solutions to societal challenges.

VA’s members consist of some 100 organisations.The organisation was founded in 2002.
