“Intersection. Centre for Science and Innovation” is an international action tank, a non-profit association, established to promote responsible research and innovation, quality education, evidence based policies and good governance and to strengthen the link between science and society, with special focus on Central and Southeastern Europe. Intersection has 150 active members, coming from research and educational organizations, the public sector, as well as companies and civic organizations contributing to the field of Science and Society. Its headquarters are in Belgrade, while it has 10 branches in the Western Balkans countries and a prominent international advisory board. Intersection participates in numerous Horizon Europe and COST programs, and was a parter in multiple consortia in Horizon 2020, EC FP7 Program, Creative Europe and other international research and innovation activities. It cooperates with the US National Science Foundation, Science Foundation Ireland, Falling Walls Foundation, and many other international research funding and research performing organizations (RFOs and RPOs). Formats of Intersection's engagement include: research and innovation projects, science camps, international conferences, mentorships and internships to researchers and talented students, science engagement and communication activities, regular program at the Serbian national TV broadcaster - RTS, advisory services too RPOs and RFOs, participation in working groups on research, education and innovation policies, and innovation projects with industry. Its' President Aleksandra Drecun is the member of EC DG Research and Innovation Program Committees for Horizon Europe, immediate past VP of European Science Engagement Association (EUSEA) and Director for Europe at Harvard Alumni Association. Prominent part of Intersection's activities are those of Intersection Youth, which gathers the young researchers and secondary school students interested in research and innovation.
